My name is Ernest C Brewer, usually referred to as "Ernie", born in 1945 which makes me a 'baby boomer' .
I have always been interested in working with my hands photography, candle making, macramé, mosaic's (before it became popular), tapestry pictures, woodworking, wood turning, some wood carving, oil painting (just a couple of attempts), stained glass, Tiffany glass, and now watercolours.
I also love walking and have completed various navigation schemes within the Peak District, Derbyshire.
My great love nowadays is watercolours.
From the list of interests you perhaps can see a pattern, many of them are 'left sided' brain activities - logical and structured - as was most of my working life, my challenge is to enjoy my prime interests using more of the 'right sided' brain - more sense and feeling / artistic. So my personal 'Watercolour Challenge' is to paint what I see rather than what I know is there, let it flow rather than analyse everything in detail - overcome years of education, training and work experience.
Retired 'baby boomer' with a passion for watercolours.
