Welcome to the Web Site of Ernest
C Brewer
Please feel free to
browse some of my work and use the feedback form if you have any comments
you would like to pass on.
You will find a
mixture of materials presented on this site; however, it is mainly split
between ‘glass’ and ‘watercolours’ in various guises.
The web site is a
simple design, maintained by myself, but should provide a consistent
viewer experience. A newer site is being designed for publication
sometime in 2007.
Watercolours
All of the work I have
undertaken since I started to paint in 2002, some of the watercolours are
sourced from other artists, books etc. and are clearly labelled as such.
I have no formal ‘art’ education and have largely been self taught with
the exception of the occasional professional demonstration and a couple of
courses with Geoff Kersey and an interactive art CD from Peter Saw. (see:
links page)
Glass Work
All of
the work I have undertaken with a mixture of original designs and work
based on published plans. I have always enjoyed the quality of glass, the
play of light and colour. I am currently working on a Tiffany Lamp which
has over 500 individual cut pieces although this has taken a back seat in
favour of the watercolours.
